At The Zoo

Hello, lords and ladies!

Today me and my boyfriend visited Helsinki Zoo, Korkeasaari. This post is going to be extremely picture heavy because omg so many cute animals! So let's start with my outfit, so those who are not so fond of animals can easily skip the rest of the pictures. x)

So, something simple, comfy and quick this time. My curls from yesterday are still alive and kicking! I just brushed them trough.

Outfit details:
Dress, purse - Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Headbow - Innocent World
Bracelet - a gift from Hanna (handmade by her)
Rest - offbrand and can't really remember.

Okay, this picture doesn't feature any animals, but it's still pretty.

These are the gundis, they were so cute, looked like big chubby hamsters but they were actually very agile - when they moved.

And when they didn't, they went all flat, just like my Odessa when she relaxes.

And speaking of Odessa... there were some "city bunnys"! This one looks a little bit like Odessa.

Here you can see one relaxed peacock. He was just sleeping and sunbathing and didn't seem to mind my presense at all.

The snow leopard male, he was so beautiful. We had a great luck and were able to catch a glimpse of most of the big cats.

And finally, this little fellow. I don't know what species she is, she doesn't belong to the Zoo, though she seemed incredibly tame. She had laid three eggs just beside a road and didn't seem a tiny bit frightened of us.

Burn Your Petticoats

Hello, lords and ladies!

Today I met with Hanna to have some tea at The Ounce. We had a great time, it's always nice to visit The Ounce.

The weather today was quite hot, so no petticoat. How radical, but also practical. Luckily this dress looks surprisingly good without a petticoat, it floats so nicely in the wind.

Once again I might have gone just a tiny bit nuts with the roses...

And for once my nails look rather nice (usually at least one of them is broken), so I took the trouble of putting some matching nail polish on. It's hard to tell but there are also some tiny butterfly nail stickers.

Outfit details:
Dress - Juliette & Justine
Blouse - Ellos
Roses - H&M
Shoes - bought them from London

Parasol Season

...it has begun! The weather today was sunny, but windy. A perfect weather to wear lolita and carry a parasol. Unfortunately not so great weather for one's hair, but you can't have it all, it seems.

Anyway, me and my boyfriend went to have some tea at The Ounce. It was nice to go there after a long time. I've been so busy with my school I've had hardly time for anything else this Spring. After the tea we went to see "The Great Gatsby". It was so beautiful and sad.

I tried to wear my Minna Parikka's Angora shoes, but  it was so painful I had to change to lower heels. I can manage everything from 2 cm to 10 cm, but 12 cm heels, that's too much for me. Well, these shoes are so pretty that somehow I will have to learn to endure the pain they cause. :'D

We also bought some tea and caramel flavoured sugar. The green tea is called "Chinese Lover's Dream", the black and green tea blend is "Jasmin Bagdad" and the white one is "Jade Spiral", it's Chinese handmade top quality tea.

Day and Night

Good evening, lords and ladies!

This is going to be a long post, because yesterday I wore two outfits - one for shopping, one for my friend's birthday party.

This outfit was for the shopping part. Me and Hanna went to Minna Parikka's sample sale. I've actually gotten this dress from Hanna, it was so sweet of her to give it to me. It's pretty and so comfy. ♥

Detail shot. As you can see, the dress is made of a lace-like fabric and the belt has a little bow.

We were both certain that we wouldn't leave from the sample sale without shoes. And we didn't! Here's what I purchased: Angora suede high heels. I love everything about them! The colour is just perfect, and the little bunny ears are too cute. Now I only have to learn how to walk with them. x)

After shopping I headed home to get ready for the birthday party with a masquerade theme. The weather was very hot and humid yeasterday and I knew there would be many people in the party, so I didn't bother to wear a blouse.

And another detail shot.

And lastly: cake! Yes, it had lilac icing. And was yummy.

Lace and Leather

Good evening, everyone! Just a quick update of today's outfit this time. I wore my Party Perfect dress for the first time. I'm saving the coordination with the straw hat for a real summer day, though today was really warm and lovely weather also. But I really want to wear that one while sipping iced tea. :D

So today I tried to get some contrast to my outfit by wearing a leather jacket over the lace dress. I know the jacket has ruffless and is not that good of a contrast, but hey, it's still a leather jacket!

Rufflessss. I bought this leather jacket maybe two years ago, but only now wore it for the first time. :O

Outfit details:
Dress - Lindex Party Perfect series
Jacket - Vero Moda
Rose hair clips - H&M
Shoes - I bought them in London.

Also a bonus pic: The Spring is really, really here! The trees and grass is becoming green, and there are lots of pretty flowers, and even sunshine. My o my! *-* This particular birch stands just outside my bedroom window.

A Drawing of Chico

Today I drew, after a long, long time of not drawing or painting anything. I made a little portrait (literally little, only 12 cm tall) of Chico with Promarker pencils, mixing different colours, layering them and even applying lighter shades over darker ones. The result is quite simple, but I kinda like it. I'm not good at drawing dogs but I think this does look a little bit like our Chico.

It was really nice to try something new with my Promarkers. And it was really nice to draw after a long pause. I should really try and find more time for drawing, painting and writing. I'm lazy to start anything, but once I get going, I love doing it.
