Kata's Birthday Party

Hello, lords and ladies!

Today was our lovely Kata's birthday party. Today was also very, very hot weather, so I didn't wear lolita (even though I would have wanted to). Instead I tried something otome/regency inspired.

If there was a syndrome or an obsession with symptoms described as "person can not stop applying fake flowers to his/her hair", I would suffer from that. x)

Sanni and I wore both Juliette & Justine dresses, so Sanni wanted to take a picture together. I must say that we do match quite nicely (though compared to Sanni I feel a bit underdressed).

And here's almost everyone from the party! From left to right, back to front: Ninni, Sanni, me, Mimi, Laura, Charlotta, Susanna and birthday girl Kata.

Kata got so many beautifully wrapped presents.

Here is my present for her. Selfmade bracelets and a carousel horse themed card, also self made.

It is decorated with real lace and blings, giving it a little bit of 3D effect.

Kata had baked so many delisious treats, including these chocolate star cupcakes.

All in all, what a great party it was!

Grown On Me

Good evening, everybunny!

Just a quick outfit for running some errands today.

These pastel flowers really seem to have grown on me, since I wanted to wear them again! Usually I prefer white or powdery pink flowers. This must be because of the Summer - even though today was raining.

P.S. I do have two braids there, but somehow the first one seems to have eaten the one behind it...

Pastel Bambi Again

Hello, everybunny!

Today I went to have some tea at The Ounce with Hanna, and we decided it was a perfect excuse to get a little bit dolled up.

My hair isn't that nice because my right hand suffered a minor accident - nothing serious but rather painful and very much annoying. I am right handed and now I'm not able to use my hand properly. And that's why my hair sucks, I just couldn't get it right. Also this outfit seriously needs mint colored shoes - oh why don't I own any. They would have completed this outfit.

You can see my makeup from this picture. I had pink, lavender, mint and pale blue flowers in my hair, so I decided to wear both lavender and pink eyeshadows. I really liked this makeup. I've always felt that shades of lilac go very well with my green eyes.

Have I already told you how much I like these bambi antlers? I might have mentioned it...

My bracelets also had pink, lavender and pale blue on them.

After The Ounce we visited Théhuone also, and I must confess I might have broken my "not going to buy anymore tea before the Barcelona trip" -promise... :D

Dress - Angelic Pretty
Flowers - H&M
Bambi antlers - Essin maailma

Picnic # 1

Hello, lords and ladies!

Today I went on a picnic with some of my best friends. It was the first picnic for this Summer. And a lovely one it was indeed - the weather was good, company even better and there was so much food. *-*

It was a really hot today, so instead of a full lolita attire I wanted to wear something lighter. I went for a little bit otome-inspired, romantic look.

This dress is just too cute, I love the bow detail on the back. ♥

And of course I wanted to wear my "Bunnies in Love" -bracelet.

Outfit details:
Dress - Innocent World
Hat - self customised
Bracelet - self made
Shoes - Minna Parikka

Then some pictures from the park, called Kartanonpuisto ("Manor's Park" in English). It's my favorite park in whole Helsinki, as it holds such dear childhood memories for me. And the Rococo-style manor and geometric paths are not a bad thing, either.

I seriously need one of those pink cactuses in my life...

There were also ducks. Lots of them. They were really tame and curious (for food, no doubt).

And here come the mandatory food pictures. We had so many tasty treats. For example Hanna had made these cute mini pizzas.

We also had pancakes and fresh strawberries...

... to be dipped in melted chocolate. *-*

We also had home made ice tea, Sangria, Karelian pies, rye treats, whipped cream, banana-rhubarb pies, candy... we couldn't even eat all of it.

I really wish to go on another picnic soon, this was so much fun. :3

Pearls and Bikinis

Hello, everybunny!

I'm still in a productive mood, and so I made more bracelets. There's something comforting about bracelets. They are quite easy to make and nice to wear.

First, the "Feeling Blue" -bracelet. (Yes, it's nice to name things. All our plants and all of my paintings have names too.) I had just enough these vintage pearls left for one bracelet. They are ceramic, each one of them has a unique pattern and they are not perfectly round either, so I think these pearls might be hand made. Porcelain pearls are not exactly my style, but I just adore the deep blue, vibrant colour, so I'm going to learn to wear this one.

I also made these two, just for fun. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these, though. I like those candy like pearls but they no longer fit my style, so I can't wear these myself. Maybe a giveaway here, if my blog reaches 400 readers goal? ;)

I also bought a new bikini for our trip to Barcelona! It was about time, last time I bought bikinis was way back in... 2006? Anyway I find this rather cute, the colour combo is awesome.

P.S. Just realised that the blue bracelet matches my new bikini rather nicely, doesn't it...?

Pearls and Bunnies in Love

Hello, my lords and ladies!

Yesterday I was feeling very productive. I made a new "Bunnies in Love" -bracelet with the cutesy wutesy bunny charms from Etsy. Once again I used real freswater pearls and Swarowski crystals.

I also repaired two broken bracelets and re-did my "Lilja" -bracelet, changing the design just a tiny bit to what I hope will be more practical.

A bonus pic: some of my beads supplies. Lot's of pink in this box.

White Lace and Roses

Evening, lords and ladies!

Today was me and my bf's 3rd anniversary. In order to celebrate that I dressed up in a pretty lace dress and we went to The Ounce for some tea and macarons, our favorite.

Closeup of the hat's decorations. I've decorated it myself last Summer.

The macaron flavours were champange, orange and lemon - all lovely and Summer-y. Champange was the best in my opinion. :}

I also have to show a closeup of our balcony flowers, because they are so pretty. I couldn't decide wich colour was best, so I chose an ampel with three different colored flowers - pink, white and purple.

We are also growing basil and parsley.

It would seem that sometime pretty soon (at least let us hope so!) my blog will have 400 readers, which is quite awesome. What would be a nice way to celebrate when that goal is reached? A giveaway, a Question & Answer, or something else entirely? Please share your thoughts on the matter.

Also, some other exciting news - we are going to Barcelona at the end of August! I've already decided which one of Barcelonas three teashops I shall visit (if we can find it, that is). I've already almost decided which teas to purchase from there. Not to mention all the wonderfully insane architecture of Gaudí, I can't wait to see it. So yes, I'm very thrilled. We are flying with Norwegian and I'm very attached to that air company, I have such nice memories of working with their crew last Summer. :3

Edit: Oops, forgot the outfit details... again.

More Candy Colours

Hello, everybunny!

Today Kata visited me for some quick tea, so here's my quick outfit for the day (I overslept, oops).

AP's Magical Etoile JSK is one of my all time favorite dresses, and today I realised that soon it will be hard to come up with coordinations I haven't already worn with this dress. I guess I'll start wearing the same old coordinations all over again, because I will not sell this dress anytime soon.

A detail shot of my necklace.

Outfit details:
Headbow, umbrella - Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Dress, purse, bolero - Angelic Pretty
Necklace - selfmade
Thighs - Lindex
