Christmas Party As Sweet As Chocolate

Hello hello, lords and ladies! As promised, here comes a huge picture spam from our Pre-Christmas party that was held at our place last Sunday.

Our theme was chocolate. Here are some of our delicious treats...

... and we dipped everything in melted chocolate! This chocolate melting set is one of my birthday gifts, and I love it. I'm already dreaming of a Summer picnic, where we could dip fresh strawberries in milk chocolate... *-* As you can see from this picture, there were so many quests, that our little kitchen table couldn't fit us all nicely, so we had to arrange a "winter picnic" on our floor. I laid down many blankets and pillows and it was quite comfy after all!

We also drank all of this! But actually it's not what it looks like - no, it is ice tea (or roiibos, to be exact) that I made and bottled for the party. :D

Here's my outfit. My dress looks so short in this picture. :( Anyway I tried to be as Christmas-y as possible and even stole some Christmas decorations from our tiny Christmas tree and pinned those on my hair.

And here are some group shots! It's quite challenging to take group pictures in our relatively compact appartment (I do not call it small, it only becomes small if we invite too many quests. ;D) Anyway my boyfriend was kind enough to take these shots for us.

During our party we also gave each other Christmas gifts, as we won't be seeing each other until next year. I won't show you what I made my to loli friends, because I made similar things to my other friends as well and I don't want to spoil it for those who are nice and open their presents on 24th. ;)

But here is what I got! A light blue sash, made of real silk, for my chemise á la princesse from Mimi, a cute cupcake shaped kitchen timer from Susanna, the most beautiful earrings and matching ring from Tiia, Pinkie Pie that looks like Johanna Tukiainen (you propably don't know who she is, so google her, if you dare, but prepare for a shock XD) from Kata and a lovely self drawn miniature portrait from Sanni. It also says that "with this card, you can get a portrait from Sanni during year 2013" - so it's a gift card! I love how creative everyone was with their presents, and needless to say, I really like each one of them! I can't wait till Summer to wear that sash, and I've already worn the jewellery several times! And of course one can never have too many My Little Ponies. ♥

Wall Flower

Today I visited the Ateneum art museum with Kata and Ninni to see the paintings and drawings of Helene Schjerfbeck (a Finnish artist).

This first picture is here just so you can see how beautiful Ateneum is inside; I had forgotten that myself. It's been years since I last time went to Ateneum! As you can see, my white outfit was a bad choise for Ateneum. I am a wall flower, disappearing in the photos, blending into the background of Ateneum.

Anyway here's my outfit: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright dress and purse, Dear Celine blouse, vintage shoes - and finally I wore my feather hairpin, I think it goes very well with berets.

I love my new earrings, they are an early birthday gift from my darling Hanna! The earrings have text saying "J'aime le chocolat" ("I love chocolat") and believe me, that's very fitting for me. Lately I've been graving for (and eating)  chocolat way too much. :D

Also, I bought a tea called "IHQ" (I suppose you could translate that as "fab" or "lovely" but it doesn't quite sound as stupid as IHQ does). It's black tea flavoured with marshmallow! And it matched my outfit. x)

Another Rainy Day

Yesterday me, Sanni and Kata met for another informal teaparty at my place. This time we tried to eat even a little bit more healthy. Find all the vegetables & spot my new teapot! x)

It was seriously raining so we decided to stay strictly indoors. What is it with the constant rain this Autumn...?

Anyway, my outfit: dress by Victorian Maiden, blouse from Dear Celine and hat is vintage.

For once my hair looked actually rather nice. A rare occasion, that is.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to our new family member. Everyone say hello to Dominick, the 3 months old baby budgie! I can tell that we are absolutely charmed by him. He's such an adorable little birdie! ♥

Always Time For Tea And... Cheese?

Yesterday me, Sanni and Kata met for some tea, sweet treats, cheese and of course good company. 

We ate the mushroom also. Okay, not really, but it does look really cute in lavender! :D

But we did try new teaflowers that I got from my aunt, called "Auringon silta", "The Bridge of Sun". They were beautiful and the tea was very good, a mixture of green and white tea and jasmine flowers. Now my next mission is to hunt a shop selling these and buy some more.

Sanni also made a apple dessert from different kinds of apples picked from their very own garden - it was absolutely delicious with vanilla icecream! And Kata had baked a pie with rucola, basilica and cheddar cheese - needles to say, it was delicious also. The only "problem" with our tea parties... is that there is too much good food. x)

On to the outfit of the day. I was trying to achieve an elegant, yet slightly miss-matching look. Dress is Innocent World, and all else pretty much offbrand.

My stockings have hearts on them. ♥ And The Feet Killing Shoes make a comeback. No matter how painful, I am going to wear these once in a while, they are too pretty to be sold.

In the end, a group picture! It was so nice my boyfriend could take it for us, so often we can't get any group pictures at all because well, someone has to hold the camera. :3

Flowers and Dots

Just an outfit from today. It started raining (again) right after we left home, so I regretted my choise of shoes pretty soon. Oh well. (I like our new lantern very much, got it as a housewarming gift from dear Hanna. ♥)

Totally in love with my new blouse. Not so sure about the hairdo. For some reason it made me feel myself silly. o_O

Shades of White, Red and Gold

Today I could finally fetch my new Innocent World dress from my local post office. The post in Finland is known to be really slow. My dress was in Finland on Thursday already, but of course it took 4 more days for them to get my dress from Helsinki-Vantaa airport to my nearest post office - for the record, it's a 20 minute ride to my home from the airport. So yep, that's the post here. It takes 4 days to drive a 20 minute journey.

Well anyway, here it is now and I love it! The dress is of really beautiful, red wine like colour - a colour I didn't previously have in my closet at all. It's also quite classic - as I've told, I'm trying to add some more classical pieces to my quite sweet garderobe. (Please ignore the brown thing on the upper corner - it's a part of my pear shaped pillow that sneaked in to the picture XD)

The print features my two favorite things: roses and notes. Music is and has always been very important part of my life, so I adore all sorts of music themed prints. ♥

I also purchased a new blouse from Dear Celine. You could call this blouse my "dream blouse", if one can have such thing. It does sound a bit funny to dream of a blouse, and a offbrand one at that, but I've wanted to own this blouse for almost two years now! It's simply the most perfect loli blouse ever. Color is offwhite (love!), and the buttons have little rose images on them (love!) and it has a big bow on the neck (love!).

I was also pleased to discover that the Venice lace on this blouse is as high quality as Venice lace in my brand name dresses. It's very soft and also rose themed.

And finally, I got these lovely flower hair pins from my little sister! Aren't they cute? There's another wedding coming that I'm attending and I'm planning to wear this on my hair for that event.
