Lavender & Black

Hello, everyone!

Me and my fiancé had a date on Monday, and I got to wore lolita after such a long time. My hair is completely over grown, so it was clearly time for a hat day.

I really like this wooden bunny brooch and want to wear it all the time. Luckily it's quite neutral in colour, so it kinda matches with everything.

We found this necklace from a flea market. We think it's an older Kalevala jewelry piece.

After a lunch and the flea market we went to The Ounce, where we ran into some of my friends. Karakuri drew this cute picture of us. ♥

In the end, have a picture of Chico and Odessa, my two fluffbuts. ♥ We'll have him with us 'till Monday. It's nice to spend some time with him, and I'm planning to go for a long walk everyday - I just hope it doesn't rain too much.

Candies and Tea

Good evening, lords and ladies!

Today me and fiancé went out for a date. It's been ages since we last time did that, so it was about time! We had a lovely time. ♥

I wasn't very happy with my outfit, though. I have been so busy and stressed out lately, that I wanted to wear something casual, so as to not draw too much attention. I never like the attention I get in lolita clothes, and even less so when I'm stressed out, tired etc. Maybe it's because of that stress I didn't like this outfit; maybe that's what's taking the fun out of dressing up. Even though I am super busy, I'm also really grateful for my job, which so far seems really great. And in the Summer I can only concentrate on work! Can't wait for that.

So, first we went to Sweetheart candy shop. It has such a cute, pastel coloured decor! The selection of candies is small, but selected and high quality. I really recommend you visit it, if you come to Helsinki (or live here and haven't been there yet)!

After that we had green teas at The Ounce tearoom. 

In the end we did some light shopping. The tea caddies are from The Ounce, and the pretty pocket mirror is from Bijou Brigitte. The tapes with the lace pattern are for sealing my letters with - much cuter than using ordinary tape. I have been looking for something like this for a long time, and now finally got lucky in Tiger.

Peach Pink & Browns

Good evening, everyone!

Today I met with my friends Sanni, Kata and Iira. We went to The Ounce to have some tea. This time my outfit turned out to be something between otome and casual lolita. I don't know which and I don't care, either. This was one of my "I just want to be warm and comfy" -days. I'm having those days almost all the time, now - Winter is so un-inspiring.

A bonus picture; I have always thought that bunnies and Rococo go well together, as at least my own dear bunny is such a royal diva. And from this thought I had this idea. This is the version 2.0, and even though it is better than 1.0, it's far from perfect. I'm considering about turning this idea into a small water colour painting to decorate our bedroom wall in a small, pink frame...

The Ounce Take Over!

Today was a wonderful day! Even though it rained (a lot), it's finally cool enough to wear frills again - and in such a lovely company, too! ♥

Finally, finally taking out my Cloudberry Lady's mermaid print dress.

Here's almost everyone - I accidentally left Alexander out of the picture. :(  But as you can see, we eventually took over The Ounce completely, and it was lots of fun.

And finally, my friend K was awesome and made this little octopus for me. Bf immidiately named her Inky, and someday Inky is going to be on top of my head, as a part of a headdress. Just wait for it! Needless to say, Inky will be worn with this same CL mermaid dress.

Latte Blue

Good evening, lords and ladies!

Today I met Sanni for some tea at The Ounce. The weather forecast said it might rain, so I wore my latte coloured shoes - they are fake leather and can take any weather. It didn't rain, after all, but I still liked my outfit. Also these shoes are very versatile, as is that purse. They seem to match almost anything! Right now I'm tempted to coordinate these accessories with some light blue also, inspired by Tiia's lovely outfit in Hellocon. Maybe I will...!

Tried a new hairstyle also, inspired by Reneissance. I like the idea, but this one still needs some working on. Next time I'll tie more of my hair to braids and hopefully it will keep the hairdo together more securely. This one looks a little bit messy (naturally curly fluffy hair, I love you).

This time I tried a green tea flavoured with mint called Mojito. It was lovely and fresh.

What else? Well, our Odessa has been trying to befriend dogs.

I'm now taking care of my sisters dog Hilma for a couple of weeks, and Odessa just won't leave her alone, she is so curious about Hilma! Hilma doesn't know what to think of this strange bunny that isn't running away from her, but rather towards, but takes it all in a very relaxed manner. Hilma is always so relaxed. x)

Hello, everyone! Today I visited The Ounce with Hanna-Katariina. I wore classic lolita, suffered from a very bad hair day and it feels like I'm getting a flu, but other than that it was a fun day. :D

I couldn't attend Kata's housewarming party, because I was sick on that day also. So I visited her place yesterday and gave her this selfmade card. I can't draw cats but it seems I can cut them out of funny paper allright.

Silly Shades

Good afternoon, everyone!

Today we made a quick visit to The Ounce with my boyfriend. I wanted to wear lolita, but my Official Lolita Coat (TM) is not home at the moment (I borrowed it for my friend to be worn at a fancy party with her fancy evening gown) so I wore a dress with shorter and smaller hem, as it goes well with ordinary coats also.

 

The Ordinary Coat (TM). It's also very sunny outside (hard to believe from these pictures, but it really is!) so I got to wear my silly heart shaped glasses, yay!

It's still International Women's Day for about an hour, so happy Women's Day to all of you lovely ladies! ♥

To celebrate the IWD, my boyfriend and I went to The Ounce and I got an excuse to doll myself up.

 

My shoes and stockings are actually dark brown, not black... (again.)

I really like this dress, the print has more rare colours; mossy green and shades of lilac.

Couple of days ago I bought this smoky eyes set from H&M and did my makeup with these today. Last time I bought eyeshadows from H&M they were surprisingly good - well, that was years ago, and these are not so marvellous. I really love the colours, but the intensity is not good enough and they make an awful lot of mess while applying them. So, all in all, these are not for everyday use, but if one has lots of time to do one's makeup, then these are useable. :P

Bf was also so kind and bought me one tea box more as IWD gift! Now I have four of these in total. They are really pretty and you can see the tea through the box, which is nice because many teas look very beautiful.

My friend's lil' miss Pom the Papillon has been staying with us since Wednesday. We've been enjoying nice long walks together.

I ♥ Unicorns

Hello, everybunny!

Yesterday I met Tiia for - you guessed it! - some tea at The Ounce. :D Lately I've been really stuck with these same accessories; the sequined headbow, the tassel shoes and the diary purse. I wear them with every outfit... and I'm not even bored. :O

Lumene's Natural Code nail polish, shade 59 Blue Galaxy, didn't quite work out as I would have hoped for... but at least the result's very winter-y. (I have one thin layer of white polish underneath the blue one, so that might be why the blue doesn't look intense enough.)

A Doll?

Hello, everybunny!

Today me and bf went to The Ounce for tea, and then to see the Frozen movie, and gosh it was beautiful! Simply wonderful! *-*

rant// But on our way there, a random passer by asked my bf, did he "steal a doll or something". I know it's supposed to be funny (hah, hah), and these people think they are oh so clever for coming up with jokes like these - but sadly it never occurs to them, that maybe someone, nay, like 25 others have come up with the same joke before... it does get tiring, and I really don't like my bf being bothered because of the clothes I happen to be wearing. I do wish people would stop to think a little bit before opening their mouths. //end of rant

Other than that, we had a really lovely time, once again. :3

I would also like to introduce you to a new hobby of mine. Or rather, a new approach on a very old hobby. This is my "tea book". It's just an old notebook, but now I'm writing in it details (the name of the tea, the brand/tea shop, ingredients, country of origin, colour, smell, taste, my opinion...) of every tea I taste. I got bored of not remembering if I had tasted some particular sort of tea before, and only after buying it realizing that yes, I had tried it before and nope, I still don't like it.

P.S. If you haven't yet seen Frozen, I really recommend that you do! On advance I thought that I'd dislike the snowman character Olaf, but I liked even him, he really was funny. :D My favourite scene was definitely Elsa's Let It Go song and her creating the ice castle... actually I liked all the scenes that took place in that castle. *-*

P.P.S. I have a new laptop with super sensitive touch pad, and the cursor keeps jumping this way and that. I'm trying to be very careful and triple check my spelling while trying to het used to this, but if there are some really weird typos, it's propably because of this darn thing.

Valentine's Day

Hello, lords and ladies!

I hope you all had a fun Valentine's Day! My day certainly was very nice. Me and my boyfriend went to The Ounce to have some tea, and later we got takeaway food from our favourite Chinese restaurant. The perfect, relaxing day! ♥

I wore Innocent World's Chandelier OP for the first time. I really love this dress, it's pretty and very comfy, too.

It has the most adorable rufflebutt.

 

It was also my first time in these shoes. Gotta love those tassels.

 My boyfriend gave me a selfmade card, a bottle of my favourite white wine, blueberry black tea and these delicious chocolates as the Valentine's Day gifts. I feel quite spoiled.

Because of the gift pictured above, I decided to wear my J'aime le chocolat earrings. :D

Frost to Fire

Good evening, lords and ladies!

Here's my outfit from today. I just wanted to wear something as warm as possible, because it's -15 degrees outside and it's no fun. It's very beautiful, though, with the white ground, frost flowers on bus stop glasses and the trees all glittery.

I like this kind of hairbun, it's super quick and easy to make and looks rather nice with a beret. Right now a wool beret is a must.

Me and bf went to The Ounce, mainly because we'd run out of Irish Whiskey black tea once again, but we did stop for some tea there, also.

P.S. The title of this post is from a book I hope I was reading now, but am not, because it's still in the library. It is also pretty much what I hope would happen outside. I am no Winter person.
