My purchases from Essi's teaparty

Good evening, everyone!

Here's some things I bought at Essi's teaparty. Most of it is second hand, worn a couple of times by Essi, but I also bought a brand new Essin maailma's "Versailles" headpiece (lower row, on the middle).

I also bought this bag. It says "Milk" but as I don't have anything else from Milk, I can't be sure if this is real or fake. One way or another, I find it very cute and now I finally have a black loliable purse. :3

Essi had also collected a little bit of My Little Ponies. I of course bought everypony that I didn't already own. There was even a couple of G1-ponies from the 80's-90's. How could I have resisted them? No way, it seems. They will be safe, sound and much loved in my MLP shelf.

Now I'm wondering if I should wear that very fancy white headband to Mimi's wedding celebration this Saturday, or perhaps the "Versailles" headpiece? To be honest I don't have a clue what I should wear, not yet. Luckily Mimi especially wished that her friends wear lolita, so lolita it will be.

Essi's Teaparty

Good evening, lords and ladies!

Saturday was a special day, as Essi's parents hosted a memorial teaparty for her. We were told it was Essi's dream to host a teaparty for lolitas, but she never had enough time to do it - unfortunately Essi died of cancer the 8th September 2013. So I helped Essi's parents and gathered some fellow lolitas to attend to this party. I was glad to be of some help - Essi was a wonderful person, she was talented, and always so kind to everyone, and I feel deeply sorry that she is no longer here with us.

The teaparty was absolutely wonderful. Essi's parents' house was simply beautiful, and almost every piece of furniture was painted and decorated by Essi. They had also baked so many delicious treats for us. I was very happy to be able to be a part of it, even though at the same time I felt sad for Essi. It almost felt like Essi was present, she could have been just in the next room... All in all, I think this teaparty was a beautiful way of remembering Essi and hounouring her memory.

I wore my new Juliette & Justine dress for the occasion. (My friend's little papillon Pomppis was photobombing all the pictures...)

It was also possible to purchase some of  Essis remaining Essin maailma jewelry. It was also possible to buy some of Essi's clothes, accessories and so on, that she hadn't worn much or at all.

I did buy some things at the party. Now I'm considering if I should make a post about them or not...

Pastel Bambi Again

Hello, everybunny!

Today I went to have some tea at The Ounce with Hanna, and we decided it was a perfect excuse to get a little bit dolled up.

My hair isn't that nice because my right hand suffered a minor accident - nothing serious but rather painful and very much annoying. I am right handed and now I'm not able to use my hand properly. And that's why my hair sucks, I just couldn't get it right. Also this outfit seriously needs mint colored shoes - oh why don't I own any. They would have completed this outfit.

You can see my makeup from this picture. I had pink, lavender, mint and pale blue flowers in my hair, so I decided to wear both lavender and pink eyeshadows. I really liked this makeup. I've always felt that shades of lilac go very well with my green eyes.

Have I already told you how much I like these bambi antlers? I might have mentioned it...

My bracelets also had pink, lavender and pale blue on them. 

After The Ounce we visited Théhuone also, and I must confess I might have broken my "not going to buy anymore tea before the Barcelona trip" -promise... :D

Party Soft

Hello, lords and ladies!

Today I hosted an ice cream party at our place. Everyone brought some icecream with them (and in the end we had so much we couldn't eat all of it, hah). I had made ice tea and some salty snacks to balance all the sweetness.

To honour the icecream theme I wore something very sweet. Bambi in candy colors!

And lots of picture spam because I seriously adore these bambi antlers, they are so cute.

Me, Kata and Sari accidentally matched! We all wore pink and mint. ♥

On to the food pictures! These are the snacks I made. Very simple, but very tasty also. The herbs I used for these are growing on our balcony. ♥

Bambie Boom

Good evening, lords and ladies!

So yesterday I visited quite quickly at a swap meetup organised by the lovely Ilona, and after that we made an almost as quick visit to the summer cottage of my boyfriend's parents.

Here's my outfit from yesterday. I finally had the opportunity to wear my unique "Bambie Boom" -deer antlers made by the talented artista, Essi.

Not the greatest shot but you can see the antlers and the hairdo a little better from this one. :3

At the meetup, I swapped dresses with Mimi. I got this gorgeous Innocent World OP in return of a Baby, the Star Shine Bright JSK. It reminds me of Wednesday Addams which is of course awesome.

The dress has lovely lace all over it. *-* My camera had some problems with this dress though, or maybe I was having some problems with the camera, but either way I couldn't get very good pictures of it. The collar ir really a beautiful shade of ivory, not pure white.

Some pictures of the meetup. I was surprised how much there was to be swapped or bought away! Luckily I also got to sell some items I didn't need anymore.

And there was food. Lot's of it. 

These cupcakes were also made by Essi, I'm so jealous she can bake something this pretty and yummy! My cupcakes never look this good.

Here's a couple of pictures from the cottage. The view of the lake - I swam in it, it was so cold, it felt a little bit like I had an iron band around my chest.

We also spotted this hedgehog! He was so chubby and cute! ♥ And I also saw a little deer, but couldn't get a picture of it.

Helsinki Lolita Convetion: My Outfits - and Mimi's, too

Hello hello!

In this post I want to show you my - and Mimi's! - outfits from Helsinki Lolita Convention.

In the very beginning of the convention me and Kati held a lecture about the history of fashion, and how to take inspiration from it for lolita outfits. We both wore outfits influenced by a historical era; my era was Rococo, and Kati's was Victorian. I'm happy we could tell a bit about the more rare eras in lolita, such as Reneissaince and Baroque, even though we had too little time and had to skip Belle Epoque and Vintage years completely. :/

Here's an outfit shot of my first outfit. The Marie Antoinette OP is from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright and shoes are from Minna Parikka. My face looks like I ran away from "Interview With the Vampire", but I think that's kinda cool (because I love Anna Rice's books anyway).

The fashion show me and Mimi modeled in ("Ehdotonta eleganssia", or "Absolute Elegance" in English) was right after our lecture, so I had to make a quick chance. Luckily we had so many models, and lovely Mimi helped me too, and all went well. :3

As you can see, me and Mimi twinned. The Unicornia Regalia dresses are hand made by Mimi, and the unicorn horns are from Essin maailma.

Good afternoon, lords and ladies!

So, Helsinki Lolita Convention happened yesterday. I only slept maybe two hours before the convention, and was totally dead after it, but what a great day it was! I had so much fun, I watched all the fashion shows (well, not the one I modeled in) and almost all the panels, too. And of course I met many of my friends and did some nice purchases too.

Sadly all the pictures I tried to take of fashion shows failed; I've not yet learned to use my new camera. So I'll have to wait for the official photographers' pictures to appear before I have any material to post here. :'D

But anyhow, here are my newest purchases. The first two I bought before the convention, and the rest during it.

Let's start with this adorable little octopus necklace I found from Etsy. It came with a pretty box.

Here is my newest tea set. I love the fresh colours (they make me think of Spring! *-*) and the Asian influences in design of this tea set. The pot is quite small (under 1 litre), so I only bought 4 cups and 4 plates. For bigger parties I have my Lomonosov set with 6 cups. :)

And these are my finds from Helsinki Lolita Convention.

First, this Baby, the Stars Shine Bright OP. It has some old school feeling in it, which is nice. Those who have read my blog longer know already my weakness for flower prints. One can not have too many flower prints in her closet (in my opinion, at least).

What I really fell for in this dress are the colours of the print! Shades of pink and red are very common in flower prints, but this one has shades of lilac and mossy green! It's quite rare and very elegant. To me this dress is a perfect mixture of sweet design and classical colours.

I also bought this Kraken necklace from Essin maailma. Essi had made this unique little fellow especially for me, using my sketch as a model. It's so cuuuute. ♥ I intend to wear it with lolita, though I've yet to figure out how I'm going to to that. I don't have any sea themed prints, and so this will be missmatching - but then again, the longer I wear lolita, the less I really care about matching perfectly. It gets boring.

I also bought this dress for everyday use. I love the lace details and the polkadots, and of course the colour too (dark blue is one of my favorite colours). It's cute and very comfortable to wear. The perfect dress to cheer up my long school days.

And then there is this headband. More polkadots!

And lastly, I found cute stickers! I'm going to use them to cutify my school folders a littlebit.

In the end, a bonus pic: Essin maailma's table! So many lovely colours and cute designs! Those jellyfish necklaces were so awesome I had to use all my will power not to buy one. :3
