Hellocon 2016 outfit & purchases

Hello, everyone!

I'm trying to get back on track with blogging - and I do have lots of material, too! :'D

So here's my outfit for Helsinki Lolita Convention 2016, also known as the last Hellocon ever. I'm curious to see what's up next.

My theme for the outfit was crazy bunny lady à la crazy bunny lady. Bunnies are one of my favourite, most frequently seen themes nowadays! I've gone on full crazy bunny lady mode and I have no regrets. I've been hoarding lots of bunny themed accessories and home decor stuff lately. I really liked this outfit, and I love that dress! The powder pink bag is a lucky find from Rome - we made another trip there this spring and the Italians really do know how to make cute leather bags and shoes...

My purchases

I'm in a good place financially now that I'm working, so I promised myself that this will be the Hellocon where I am allowed to buy anything I want. And so I did. It was super fun though I did have some quilty feelings later - I'm not used to spending so much money at once. I've been doing a make over in my wardrobe - I've bought quite a few new things, but I've also sold many dresses that don't fit my style anymore. 

So, in Hellocon I bought

• A beautiful Twin Flower dress, handmade of recycled materials 
• Baby's classical heart bag which I have been drooling over ever since I started dressing in lolita fashion a little over decade ago 
• Innocent World's bolero - another thing I've wanted for a very long time 
• Miss Danger Shop's bunny brooch/headdress (what did I say about hoarding bunny stuff?!) and
• Illves's adorable chubbycorn brooch.

Shiny New Things

Hello, each and everyone!

Lately I've been shopping quite a lot. I've been trying to update my everyday wardrobe towards more office friendly and less student like direction. Besides that, I've also started collecting My Little Ponies again.

1. A dress with a tulip pattern by Ivana Helsinki and seriously shiny necklaces by Kooky Gems. I'm planning to wear the cloud necklace to cheer up the rainy days. The bunny necklace doesn't need to happen for a reason - I love everything with bunnies on it, period. (There will certainly be pictures of the dress worn later!)

2. Lace collar dresses from Dorothy Perkins. These are super comfy to wear, and also cute. I really like the colours.

3. A blouse with lace details, sunglasses for me and my fiancé and a cute umbrella for autumn.

4. A flamingo bag charm. I don't even know why. It's crazy, funny and pink, I guess that's the reason. Right now this actually hangs on my ugly work laptop bag and makes it just a bit more tolerable, so it found its rightful place.

7. My souvenirs from Paris. I had told my fiancé that I'll buy all the Eiffel tower themed tourist crap there is and only bought these two, so everything went better than expected. No regrets either, I really like these.

The Colours of Autumn

Hello, lords and ladies!

This was my outfit to the J-fashion Fair. I found the inspiration from autumn which had just begun here in Helsinki. Autumn is my favourite season and I'm always very excited about it. I had a bad outfit crisis just before the event. Eventually I came up with this one and was very happy about it. I think this might be my favourite outfit of the ones I've worn recently.

The event was quite nice. Everything was well organized and there wasn't too much program, so there was plenty of time to chat with friends and shop, which was great.

I purchased this embroidered OP by Innocent World...

... and this gorgeous OP of black velvet and white lace by Fairy Wish. I'll show them to you more properly as soon as I get to wear them! I can't wait for that - I especially adore the Fairy Wish dress. *-*

I also bought shoes fit for Cinderella. They are so sparkly. ♥

Dress Dreams and Bunny Ears

Hello, everyone!

Some time ago I received a dress that I have wanted to own for many years; Innocent World's Frigg JSK in ivory. I might say it's my dream dress, but I feel like I've grown over the dream dress phase, when I was frantically searching for and willing to pay almost anything to get the dress I really wanted. Neverthless, the dress is indeed very dreamy and I am so happy to finally have it. Pictures don't do it justice - it's so much more gorgeous in real life. I'm considering this to be my wedding dress, so until then I try not to wear it.

I also popped into Minna Parikka shop. They have mint green shopping bags now! So cute!

I bought the Angora Soft shoes in black. They'll be great for eveyday wear.

I also bought myself a new wallet. I really like the powdery roses compined with the soft green.

 My fiancé gave me Minna Parikka's bunnyear shoes in powder pink as our anniversary gift, so yep, now I have them in every colourway. If you ever need a crazy bunny woman, feel free to call me.

Some Outfits, Some New Things

Good evening, lords and ladies!

Here's some outfits (and new things), originally from my Instagram account, that I now want to share with you, too.

Let's start with the most recent. This is my "modern witch" look from yesterday. I think my new rose headband suits Midsummer perfectly. I wasn't actually aiming for a witchy look, but it turned out to be one.

Then some closeups of the accessories. I got this Heart of The House necklace (by Kalevala Jewelry) from my fiancé a little while ago. It's so lovely!

And the rose headband. 

This dress is also quite new. It's really versatile, as it can be dressed both up and down. I've worn it to work, as well as to parties.

A while ago I also finally bought these fairy tale book boxes from H&M that I'd been eyeing for ages. They are so cute! I'm going to store my jewelry in them.

I still haven't got time to sort through the Rome pictures, but I'll get to it some day, I promise. :')

Life Via Instagram: Hellocon 2015

Hello, everyone!

So, Hellocon is now over and - a little inside joke, if you don't mind - I survived it! I didn't take that much pictures, because I wanted to concentrate on enjoying the event itself. I used only my phonecamera, because it fitted so cozily into the pocket of my Angelic Pretty dress and was therefore easy to whip out when needed. I will share photos of my outfits and our fashion show later on, but here's some pictures for you already.

1. Ancelic Pretty's dress form with a beautiful outfit.

2. Sweet and Tiny's table. I loved all these, they were so real-looking! It's too bad I don't wear cake jewelry that much anymore...

3. They had really put a lot of effort to decorating the venue this year. There were balloons and banners, which were really pretty. Then there were these adorable little cups of popcorn which the guests could enjoy free of charge. What a wonderful idea!

4. Here's what I got at the event; a book mark, an awesome bunny fascinator (I already forgot whom I bought it from), a bunny brooch and bow by Charming Girls, a super adorable pegasus phonesharm by Illves, Makis's and Asuka's message to Hellocon guests and of course their autographs.

5. A closeup of the phonecharm. Her name is Stella (each Illves charachter has a name) and she looks really lovely with my Baby purse. I already regret not buying more of these cuties, I could have one for each of my purses... *-*

 The event was really great. The programs I organized went quite smoothly, and the other programs that I had time to see were really good, too. I did miss out quite a lot because of my own programs, so I'm considering the opportunity that next time I would go there as a guest only and not organize anything. At least right now it seems like a very good idea indeed.

Shoe Candy

My new Minna Parikka shoes are like candy. The colour is so lovely, and of course I can't resist anything with a bunny theme. I can't wait to coordinate them with... well, everything I own. *-*

Candies and Tea

Good evening, lords and ladies!

Today me and fiancé went out for a date. It's been ages since we last time did that, so it was about time! We had a lovely time. ♥

I wasn't very happy with my outfit, though. I have been so busy and stressed out lately, that I wanted to wear something casual, so as to not draw too much attention. I never like the attention I get in lolita clothes, and even less so when I'm stressed out, tired etc. Maybe it's because of that stress I didn't like this outfit; maybe that's what's taking the fun out of dressing up. Even though I am super busy, I'm also really grateful for my job, which so far seems really great. And in the Summer I can only concentrate on work! Can't wait for that.

So, first we went to Sweetheart candy shop. It has such a cute, pastel coloured decor! The selection of candies is small, but selected and high quality. I really recommend you visit it, if you come to Helsinki (or live here and haven't been there yet)!

After that we had green teas at The Ounce tearoom. 

In the end we did some light shopping. The tea caddies are from The Ounce, and the pretty pocket mirror is from Bijou Brigitte. The tapes with the lace pattern are for sealing my letters with - much cuter than using ordinary tape. I have been looking for something like this for a long time, and now finally got lucky in Tiger.

Hearts of Our House

Good evening, lords and ladies!

Just a quick update this time. My fiancé gave me Kalevala Jewelry's Heart of the House necklace in silver yesterday, and now I have a set of this series in both bronze and silver. I really love this series, and hope to add more of it to my jewelry collection in the future. But this is a nice start indeed. ♥

Life via Instagram

Good afternoon, everyone!

My life has been really hectic lately, and so I'm a little bit behind the schedule when it comes to blogging. The good news are I'm just on schedule on my studies, though! It's been a while since I bloggeg about personal matters (and not of those regarding the fashion show I'm organizing with Mimi for Hellocon 2015), and I decided to share glimpes of my Instagram account - and incidently, glimpses of my life recently - with you. Instagram is a pretty convenient diary of what's happening around me, as it's so quick and easy to use. So, here we go...

1. Last Saturday Sanni dear visited me. We both happened to wear Innocent World's flower prints! There will be a proper blog post about this day later on, so stay tuned. ;)

2. I bought some new clothes, including this cardi dress. It is very warm and cozy - one of those clothes that feel like you are wearing a night gown all the time, but luckily don't look like it.

3. A detail shot. The dress has cute little bows on the sleeves and golden threads alongside the grey colour, giving it a little bit of sparkle.

4. I bought a scrapping album for our travel photos and a super cute makeup pouch, both with the Eiffel Tower theme.

5. I finally found a perfect place and purpose for this lovely photo frame that Mimi gave me years ago. It now holds our engament picture, standing next to a matching jewelry box which has been in use all along.

6. Me penpal sent me this cute unicorn card, which looks so lovely on the pink frame.

7. I bought us a huge bouquet of pink tulips. The colour is just wonderful and makes me dream of Spring. *-*

8. Besided scrapping photo albums, I have also done some other craft projects. Flower theme is persistent, as I am looking forward to Spring very eagerly (please, come here already!).

9. Odessa is as lovely, cute and darling as ever.

10. Right now I'm taking care of these two lovely girls, Nelda and Tara, while their owner is in Japan. It's been wonderful to take long walks together in the sunshine.
